Reflective sanctions are assignments or activities which allows the student to reflect on their behavior/the incident in question, identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired through participation in the conduct process, and demonstrate how participation in this process will inform future action.
Information
Reflective Paper
An opportunity for a student to reflect on the incident and their choices and behaviors regarding that incident. Students will also be asked to make a plan of action for any future incidents.
Saluki Creed Review
The Saluki Creed states, “As a Saluki, I pledge to forward the ideas and ideals of the University. I discourage bigotry and celebrate diversity by striving to learn from differences in people’s ideas and opinions. I will embrace the ideals of freedom of civilized expression, intellectual inquiry and respect for others.” How does your behavior in this incident reflect on the Saluki Creed? How will you meet the expectations of the Creed in the future?
Guided Mentor
A student may be assigned a professional staff member of the University who they will meet with regularly for a determined period of time. The mentor will work with the student to identify goals, values, and opportunities for growth, development, and engagement.
