In order to encourage a safe and secure campus, students found responsible for violating the University's controlled substance policy (Student Code Article 2.5.3. and associated policies) will be assessed a financial condition of sanction. This condition will be in addition to any other sanctions or conditions assigned to a student who is found responsible for violation of the controlled substance policy.
The financial condition of sanction will be used to educate student on the effects of controlled substances and to encourage students to make responsible and informed decisions. In addition, Student Rights and Responsibilities will utilize funds generated from this condition to promote outreach to students by focusing on preventive and restorative benefits to the University community.
